YoungLives Divisional Coordinator Summary: The YoungLives divisional coordinator will serve, in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures established mission leadership, to develop and sustain YoungLives ministries in their respective divisions. Ministry Functions: Spiritual Development — “Following Jesus.” Includes: Prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health and church relationships. Maintain a genuine and sincere commitment to understanding God’s Word and the disciplines of personal and corporate prayer. Seek out and maintain relationships and disciplines, in the context of active participation in a church community, that lead to a vibrant spiritual life. Actively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community. Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development. Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life including time for solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer and Scripture reading. Leadership Development — “Equipping leaders, committee and staff.” Includes: Key volunteer care, recruiting, team building and training, supervision and vision casting. Young Life Leadership and Staff Work in partnership with respective senior vice president to lead YoungLives in the division. Serve as a member of the Divisional Leadership Team alongside regional directors and other divisional leaders in matters pertaining to YoungLives. Partner with regional directors and area directors in developing strategic and sustainable plans for YoungLives. Partner with regional directors to recruit, train and support YoungLives regional coordinators. Partner with regional directors and area directors to recruit, train and support YoungLives staff at the area level. Work with regional directors and area directors to begin and encourage new ministry. Be available to and in regular communication with supervisors of YoungLives staff to assist with training and on-going support. YoungLives Staff and Volunteers Recruit, train and provide on-going support for YoungLives regional coordinators. Communicate regularly with YoungLives regional and area staff and volunteers. Provide initial assistance to YoungLives start-up areas. Ensure there are regular YoungLives training events offered in every region. Provide an annual divisional YoungLives training event. Foster community among YoungLives regional coordinators (primary) and other YoungLives staff in the division (secondary). Encourage collaboration with the greater mission of Young Life. Equip staff with resources and timely training. YoungLives Leadership Team Serve on YoungLives Leadership Team. Attend YoungLives Leadership Team meetings and required trainings. Service on the team to develop and implement strategies for the following: Vision and goals Training Camping Materials and resources Funding and development Communications Resource Development — “Fueling the ministry.” Includes events, major donor care, public relations (branding) and TDS team. Raise personal support. Guarantee all expenses are within the budget. Manage mission financial tools. Impart vision for the YoungLives ministry to potential donors. Learn and implement Taking Donors Seriously (TDS) procedures. Ensure that all Young Life financial policies and procedures are implemented. Direct Ministry — “Proclaiming and modeling.” Includes contact work, club, Campaigners and camp. Oversee YoungLives camping within the division (including, but not limited to budgets, assignment teams, childcare, risk management, equipment, leader training, administration and other camp needs). Ensure camp meets the needs of teen moms and their children. Ensure the standards of excellence in Young Life camping are met. Ministry Support — “Taking care of business” Includes accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management and strategic plan. Ensure the administrative requirements are handled with excellence and in a timely manner. Ensure areas understand and report ministry information in Growth Planning Software (GPS). Maintain accuracy of YoungLives directory with interest, start up and active ministry information for respective division. Training: Actively participate and lead in missionwide and divisional YoungLives trainings. Attend divisional staff times and retreats. Pursue continuing education or training seminars to enhance professional skills. Participate in programs designed for personal spiritual maturity or enrichment. Education: College degree preferred. Qualifications Required For The Job: Commitment to a growing relationship with Christ. Ability to clearly communicate the Gospel and train others accordingly. Ability to clearly communicate Young Life’s mission and the vision for YoungLives. Understand the unique issues faced by pregnant and parenting teen moms. Proven relational skills with both adolescents and adults. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Past or current involvement in local or regional YoungLives ministry. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Proven strategic planning skills. Ability to implement new strategies. Ability to work independently as well as with a group. Self-motivated. Goal-oriented. Proven leadership skills. Ability to travel as the job requires. Job Specific Working Conditions: Specific Working Conditions Fundraising: Approximately 70% of working time is dedicated to fundraising activities, including developing and maintaining financial partnerships. Travel & Training: Requires travel for training, meetings, and other ministry-related activities, as needed. Part-Time Schedule: This is a part-time position with an expected commitment of approximately 20 hours per week. Pay Transparency In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is outlined below. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the United States. The anticipated salary for this part-time position can range from $38,075-$52,037.50 depending on relevant education, experience, and location.
