Bristow is the world’s largest operator of the S‑92, AW189, and AW139, all of which form the backbone of its offshore energy fleet. These aircraft are widely used in the Gulf of America to support crew changes, long‑range offshore flights, and challenging operational environments typical of the region’s oil and gas infrastructure. Key Aircraft Types Supporting the Gulf Region: Single-Engine Aircraft AS350B2 A119 Light Twin-Engine Aircraft A109E EC135P2+ Medium-Class Aircraft S76C++ AW139 Heavy-Class Aircraft AW189 S92 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain close coordination with the Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) to provide continuous, accurate status of assigned rotor‑wing aircraft, including current discrepancies, upcoming 135‑scheduled maintenance, and anticipated downtime, in alignment with Bristow procedures and operational requirements. Perform inspection, maintenance, modification, and repair of Bristow rotor‑wing aircraft—including airframe, dynamic components, engines, and associated systems—in accordance with Bristow’s approved manuals, manufacturer documentation, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (Part 135). Plan, coordinate, and schedule maintenance activities for GoA 135 aircraft in collaboration with the Lead AMT, considering workflow, tooling, parts availability, operational tempo, and mission priority typical of Gulf of America offshore support operations. Communicate directly with pilots and operational crews at each aircraft arrival and departure to ensure accurate exchange of status, discrepancies, and readiness information required for safe Part 135 operations. Maintain the field base environment in compliance with Bristow’s safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards, ensuring a safe and mission‑ready work area for Gulf operations. Assume full responsibility for each assigned aircraft, ensuring all maintenance actions are completed, documented, and returned to service per Bristow policy and FAA requirements. Manage parts, materials, and inventory including submission of material requisitions, receipt of incoming parts, shipment of components to other GOA locations, and verification that all items meet Bristow inspection and traceability standards. Maintain Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used at Gulf bases to Bristow standards, ensuring reliable support for daily offshore operations. Complete and maintain all required aircraft records and maintenance documentation, including aircraft logs, company forms, technical entries, and documents required by 14 CFR Part 135, Bristow’s General Operations Manual, and company policy. Inspect and verify all incoming parts and consumables immediately upon receipt, including removal of expired or shelf‑life items from inventory to maintain FAA compliance. Request Secondary Maintenance Checks following maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, or alterations to ensure an additional layer of safety consistent with Bristow’s culture and manual guidance. Maintain all calibrated tools, both company‑owned and personally owned, in accordance with Bristow’s calibrated tool tracking requirements for the assigned GOA base. Perform other duties as assigned, supporting Bristow’s commitment to safe, reliable Part 135 rotor‑wing operations in the Gulf of America. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Effective oral and written communication skills Possess sound judgment and objectivity in decision-making Proficient in aircraft maintenance, inspection, and repair A thorough knowledge of the General Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, and other pertinent information Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent Must possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Must possess a minimum of three (3) years’ turbine rotorcraft experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, squatting for extended periods of time Climbing heights on various equipment Lifting up to 20 or more pounds Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required Bristow Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
