SMB / Mid-Market Account Executive – High-Growth Fintech

New York City – Hybrid, Monday to Thursday in office

$130,000–$160,000 base salary

$260,000–$320,000 OTE + equity

Six hires planned

Sanderson King is supporting a rapidly scaling, venture-backed fintech business that is transforming how nonprofit organisations receive and manage donations.

Following significant growth and strong product adoption, the business is expanding its New York partnerships team and looking to appoint six accomplished SMB / Mid-Market Account Executives.

This is a full-cycle commercial role combining new business development with the long-term growth of existing partner relationships. You will join a high-performing team selling a proven payments product into a substantial and largely untapped market.

The opportunity

You will:

• Own the complete sales cycle, from outbound prospecting and discovery through product demonstrations, negotiation, closing and account expansion.

• Spend approximately 75–80% of your time winning new business, with the balance focused on developing existing partnerships.

• Manage a varied pipeline of active opportunities across SMB and mid-market accounts.

• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across nonprofit and other mission-led organisations.

• Develop creative and highly personalised outbound campaigns using tools such as HubSpot and Loom.

• Navigate deal cycles ranging from fast-moving opportunities to more complex, multi-stakeholder processes.

• Contribute to an ambitious growth journey within a well-funded and entrepreneurial business.

What we are looking for

• Approximately four to eight years of sales experience, including at least three years in a quota-carrying Account Executive position.

• A consistent record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

• Experience selling into SMB and mid-market customers and managing contract values typically ranging from $30,000 to $100,000.

• Strong full-cycle sales capability, including outbound prospecting, discovery, demonstrations, negotiation and closing.

• Confidence managing multiple decision-makers and multi-stage sales processes.

• A warm, consultative and relationship-led communication style suited to mission-driven customers.

• The creativity, resilience and commercial energy required to build pipeline from the ground up.

• The ability to work from the company’s New York City office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays working remotely.

Experience selling SaaS, fintech or technology solutions into nonprofits, universities, healthcare organisations, government bodies or other institutional customers would be particularly valuable.

Candidates whose experience has been limited entirely to inbound sales or large enterprise accounts are unlikely to be the right fit for this appointment.

Package and benefits

• $130,000–$160,000 base salary.

• $260,000–$320,000 on-target earnings, based on a 50/50 split.

• Competitive equity package.

• Three months of guaranteed compensation during ramp-up.

• Comprehensive healthcare options.

• Paid annual leave, company holidays and parental leave.

• Regular team events and company retreats.

• Open to eligible visa transfers, including H-1B and OPT transfers.

Successful candidates are expected to join as part of a new Account Executive cohort in January.
