The Admin II - Finance provides reception and administrative support for SLFNHA, including answering and directing telephone calls, greeting visitors, receiving and distributing organizational mail, and responding to general inquiries.
The position also supports key finance functions, including payroll administration, travel administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general finance processes, as time and workload allow.
The Admin II supports a range of organizational and Finance Department functions and completes assigned duties independently, with a high degree of accuracy and reliability.
Salary Range: Annually $51,319 - $68,932 / Hourly $28.197 - $37.874

Qualifications:
- Persons of First Nations ancestry will be given preference (OHRC, Part II, Special Employment).
- Post-secondary education in office administration, business, accounting, or a related field is preferred, or other education and experience deemed acceptable by SLFNHA.
- Previous experience in office administration, reception, finance, accounting, or payroll is an asset.
- Basic computer skills and comfort using email and common computer programs; experience with payroll and/or accounting software (e.g., UKG, Sage) is an asset.
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide friendly and respectful service to employees, visitors, and the public.
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work as part of a team.
- Ability to organize and prioritize assigned work and complete tasks on time.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with employee and financial information.
- Ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects within the Sioux Lookout area is an asset.
- Ability to perform the requirements of the role on a regular basis.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide reception support for SLFNHA, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and directing general inquiries.
- Receive, sort, and distribute organizational mail and deliveries.
- Perform basic office administration, filing, scanning, data entry, and record keeping.
- Support payroll functions as needed, including checking employee timecards in UKG and maintaining payroll documentation.
Support employee travel as needed, including travel bookings, travel claims, and mileage claims. - Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed, including processing invoices, payments, and financial records.
- Use Sage accounting software to support day-to-day financial administration tasks as needed.
- Assist Finance staff with reviewing information and ensuring required documents and approvals are received.
- Use SLFNHA finance, payroll, and administrative systems.
- Provide general support to the Finance Department as required, particularly during slower reception periods or when other departments require additional assistance.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required.
- Maintain confidentiality when working with employee and financial information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
- The position is primarily office-based and includes regular reception responsibilities.
- The position requires frequent interaction with employees, visitors, vendors, and members of the public in person, by telephone, and electronically.
- The position requires regular use of computers, telephone systems, payroll and financial software, and standard office equipment.
- The position involves access to confidential employee, payroll, financial, and organizational information and requires a high level of discretion.
- Work priorities may change based on payroll deadlines, travel requirements, financial processing deadlines, and operational needs.
- Additional hours may occasionally be required to meet payroll, month-end, year-end, or other Finance Department deadlines.
