*** Role is eligible for 10k sign on bonus and relocation if out of state*** Job Title: Adult Cystic Fibrosis Dietitian Job Description This role supports the Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Program by providing evidence-based, patient- and family-centered nutrition care to a complex and evolving adult CF population. The Adult CF Dietitian works as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team to optimize nutritional status, improve quality of life, and support long-term health outcomes for adults living with CF. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nutritional care to adult patients in an outpatient cystic fibrosis clinic, focusing on individualized, evidence-based interventions. Evaluate medical histories, biochemical data, nutritional assessments, and other clinical information to determine patient needs and develop appropriate nutrition care plans. Implement, monitor, and adjust nutrition care plans based on patient response, clinical changes, and interdisciplinary input. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physical therapists, social workers, psychologists, and other consulting providers to deliver coordinated, holistic care. Serve as a knowledgeable resource, mentor, and educator for health care providers, students, community dietitians, and the general public on adult cystic fibrosis nutrition. Support Adult CF Program and Clinical Nutrition initiatives aimed at improving professional practice, including participation in community-based and outreach activities. Contribute to program development and quality improvement projects that enhance nutrition services for adult CF patients. Participate in and support specialty advancement initiatives within clinical nutrition, including potential involvement in research, publications, and sharing best practices. Build long-term therapeutic relationships with adults living with chronic illness, providing ongoing education, counseling, and support to patients and their families. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Registration as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Current licensure as a Dietitian in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. At least 3 years of progressive experience in Dietetics. At least 2 years of experience in pediatric nutrition. Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with a highly specialized, niche population such as individuals with cystic fibrosis. Ability to interpret medical, biochemical, and nutritional data to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within an interdisciplinary clinical team. Excellent communication and education skills to serve as a resource and mentor for health care providers, students, and community dietitians. Additional Skills & Qualifications Adult cystic fibrosis experience is highly preferred. Experience working in a specialty program or advanced clinical nutrition role with opportunities for progression to higher practice levels. Interest in contributing to specialty advancement, including participating in or supporting publications and professional presentations. Ability to engage in community-based initiatives and educational activities related to cystic fibrosis and nutrition. Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for building rapport and long-term relationships with adults managing chronic illness. Enthusiasm for working in a culture that supports professional growth, specialty development, and sharing of best practices across the field. Work Environment This position is based in an outpatient cystic fibrosis clinic with approximately 70 staff members, offering a collaborative, tight-knit, and highly supportive team environment. The clinic serves about 400 adult patients annually, many of whom live with chronic illness, allowing the dietitian to build meaningful, long-term therapeutic relationships. The schedule follows a Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift structure, with four days on site and one day working from home. The team culture is very personable and close, with a strong passion for cystic fibrosis care, openness to feedback, and engagement in activities outside the clinic, including opportunities to participate in international teaching or outreach related to CF. The work environment emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration with nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physical therapists, social workers, psychologists, and other professionals, creating a dynamic setting where staff are encouraged to advance their specialty skills and contribute to the broader CF and nutrition community. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Boston, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
