About the role We are looking for an Adviser Laboratory and Building Services to help the Technical Development and Operations division maintain a safe, efficient and high-performing workplace that supports studies, projects, innovation and closure activities across Rio Tinto. This role contributes to the operational effectiveness of the Bundoora Technical Development Centre (BTDC), a state-of-the-art facility supporting laboratory testing, pilot plant programs and technical development work across multiple commodities. What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance and Facilities and working in a collaborative community within the Technical Development and Operations division, you will: Maintain the safe and efficient operation of office spaces, laboratories, pilot plant areas, plant rooms and site grounds Support compliance with Rio Tinto standards, Australian regulations and site health, safety and environmental requirements Coordinate and oversee electrical, mechanical, cleaning and other service contractors to deliver quality outcomes Coordinate building maintenance activities, security systems and site service requirements to minimise disruption to operations Support office fit-outs, workspace reconfigurations and facility upgrades that meet evolving business needs Coordinate building-related projects and improvements from planning through to successful completion Maintain equipment, supply and storage processes to support day-to-day laboratory and site operations About you We’re looking for someone whose experience aligns with the key requirements below.
