About the role Work collaboratively across site to ensure positive safety outcomes and promote a proactive safety culture. Reporting directly to our WHS Superintendent, you will be a key part of our team supporting the business in achieving positive performance results in the application of leading health and safety management programs and practices. Roster: 8/6, 12 hours per day (Dayshift only) Location: Federation Mine, Nymagee NSW Travel options Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance Key responsibilities Promote and support a proactive safety culture, encouraging positive safety behaviours across the operation. Support management with incident investigations, action management, risk assessments and lead indicator programs. Assist with the effective implementation and maintenance of operational and organisational risk management practices. Support compliance with internal standards, legislation and external governance requirements. Work with departments to develop and improve procedures, safe work practices and health and safety programs. Analyse safety statistics and trends to identify key focus areas, drive continuous improvement and support positive safety performance. Qualifications and experience Diploma of Work Health and Safety (WHS) or higher qualification. Minimum 2 years’ relevant WHS experience within a mining environment. Current, unrestricted ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence. Proven ability to facilitate and lead incident investigations, using methodologies such as ICAM or TapRooT. Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
