Our client is building one of the largest hyperscale AI data center portfolios in North America, and they're moving fast. They're hiring Facility Operators to own infrastructure reliability on live GPU environments: power, cooling capacity, redundancy, and risk. You'll be the on-site authority responsible for keeping the facility up while new capacity is still being brought online around you.
What you'll own
- Infrastructure risk assessment and mitigation across power and cooling systems
- Power distribution and cooling capacity planning
- Redundancy strategy (2N, N+1, N+2)
- Change management for high-risk maintenance and critical work
- Oversight of commissioning activities (L1-L5) as new capacity is delivered
- Escalation leadership during infrastructure events, from first response through root cause
What they're looking for
- 5+ years in hyperscale or AI data center environments
- Deep hands-on experience with UPS, generators, chillers, AHUs, and electrical distribution
- Strong incident leadership and sound decision-making under pressure
- Experience owning infrastructure reliability, not just supporting it
- Willingness to work onsite full-time and relocate to the site
Nice to have: MOP/SOP/EOP authorship, BMS/EPMS experience, NFPA 70E, colocation or vendor oversight, commissioning experience.
Locations: Baton Rouge, LA | New Lebanon, IN
Schedule: Onsite, 5 days a week. Relocation required (package provided).
Why join
- Help deploy multi-gigawatt AI infrastructure at a speed few teams have seen
- Pre-IPO equity ahead of scale
- Build the operating model, workflows, and documentation from the ground up instead of inheriting someone else's
- A clear path to regional or portfolio-level infrastructure leadership
- Comprehensive relocation package through a relocation vendor
