About the Role

This is a core technical role on the research team of an early-stage AI infrastructure company focused on making AI agents reliable in production. You will drive original research and translate frontier ideas into real-world systems that help enterprises design, evaluate, and optimize AI agents at scale. Your work will directly shape the product and technical direction of the platform.

What You'll Do

Develop and improve core AI methods, algorithms, and systems across the full lifecycle of reliable AI agents.
Create novel approaches for simulation, evaluation, and optimization of agent behavior in real-world settings.
Turn research ideas into working prototypes and production-facing capabilities.
Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate frontier AI innovation into practical customer value.
Help define technical direction in agent reliability, evaluation, and optimization.

What We're Looking For

PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
Research or hands-on work experience with AI agents, including evaluations, novel applications, or agent frameworks beyond off-the-shelf methods.
Publications at top-tier venues such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, or ACL, or meaningful contributions to widely used open-source projects.
Strong proficiency in Python; familiarity with LLMs, reinforcement learning, agent frameworks, and evaluation systems is a strong plus.
Experience translating AI research into production systems.
Background working as an early research hire, in a small team, or at a startup where research fed directly into product.
Prior research experience at an AI lab or applied AI organization is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $130,000 to $200,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

Fully remote, open to candidates based in the United States.
