AI Research Scientist

About the Role

This is a core technical research position at an early-stage AI infrastructure company focused on making AI agents reliable in production environments. You will be a founding-level contributor to the AI methods and systems that power the platform, bridging frontier research and real-world product impact.

What You'll Do

• Develop and improve core AI algorithms and systems across the full lifecycle of reliable AI agents.

• Create novel approaches for simulation, evaluation, and optimization of agent behavior in real-world settings.

• Turn research ideas into working prototypes and production-facing capabilities.

• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate AI innovation into practical customer value.

• Help define the company's technical direction in agent reliability, evaluation, and optimization.

What We're Looking For

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related field.

• Research or hands-on work experience with AI agents, including evaluations, novel applications, or agent frameworks beyond off-the-shelf approaches.

• Publications at top-tier venues such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, or ACL, or significant contributions to widely used open-source projects.

• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience across AI/ML, LLMs, reinforcement learning, and agent frameworks.

• Experience translating AI research into production systems is a strong plus.

• Background working as an early research hire, in a small team, or at a startup where work fed directly into product.

• Prior research experience at an AI lab or applied AI company is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range is $130,000 to $200,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
