Aircraft Engine Technician – Turboprop Engines

Looking for more than routine maintenance?

At DAO Aviation A/S, you will work hands-on across the full turboprop engine maintenance process – from disassembly and inspection through repair, assembly, documentation and final testing – primarily on the Honeywell TPE331.

You will become part of an experienced and committed Engine Shop where technical judgement, quality and professional pride matter every day.

You may already work with aircraft engines or come from another precision mechanical or technical trade. What matters most is skilled workmanship, mechanical aptitude and the motivation to develop specialist engine expertise.

About DAO Aviation

DAO Aviation A/S has more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry and is a Honeywell Heavy Authorized Service Center specialising in the TPE331 turboprop engine.

Our team includes specialists across engineering, maintenance, purchasing, logistics and sales, working together to solve complex operational challenges for customers worldwide.

In addition to engine maintenance, DAO Aviation provides aircraft maintenance, avionics installation and repair, design organisation services, continuing airworthiness management, component shop services, and aircraft parts supply and logistics.

The Role

As an Aircraft Engine Technician, you will be part of our Engine Shop team, working primarily with Honeywell TPE331 turboprop engines.

You will be involved throughout the engine overhaul and repair process and work closely with colleagues across engineering, planning, quality and logistics to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly and testing of turboprop engines, primarily the Honeywell TPE331.
• Performing maintenance in accordance with approved technical data, company procedures and applicable aviation requirements.
• Accurate documentation of maintenance and inspection activities.
• Supporting troubleshooting and engine testing.
• Contributing to quality, safety and continuous improvement activities.
• Working closely with colleagues throughout the engine overhaul process.

What We Are Looking for

We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing technical work properly, has a strong mechanical mindset and is motivated to build specialist expertise in aircraft engine maintenance.

You should have:

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with an interest in troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
• A careful and methodical approach to your work, with strong attention to detail.
• A strong commitment to quality, safety and accurate documentation.
• The ability to read, understand and work from technical manuals, drawings and maintenance documentation in English.
• Relevant technical education, apprenticeship or practical experience within aviation, mechanics, engineering or a related technical field.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
• A willingness to participate in ongoing training and develop your technical expertise.
• A willingness to travel when required.
• A valid driver's licence and the ability to provide the required criminal-record documentation.

It would be an advantage – but is not a requirement – if you have:

• Previous experience with aircraft engine maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting or repair.
• Experience with turboprop engines, particularly the Honeywell TPE331 or similar engine types.
• Experience from an MRO, authorized service center, airline maintenance environment or similar technical operation.
• Knowledge of aviation regulations, airworthiness requirements, quality procedures and maintenance record-keeping.
• Danish language skills.

Location

This is a full-time, on-site position. Occasional travel may be required for training, field support or external projects.
