Join our Ambulatory Care team as the Nurse Unit Manager and play a key leadership role in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care across a dynamic and diverse service. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee daily operations, drive service improvement initiatives, and ensure the effective management of clinical, workforce and resource needs to achieve exceptional outcomes for patients and the community.

Renumeration: $150,816.94 per annum (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About The Role

As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across the Ambulatory Care Service while providing strong clinical and operational leadership. As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will oversee service coordination, workforce management and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe, efficient and responsive healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care and positive patient experiences.
  • Coordinate clinical services, patient pathways and care planning to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Manage workforce functions including recruitment, rostering, performance development and staff wellbeing.
  • Oversee the effective management of human, physical and financial resources to achieve service outcomes.
  • Drive quality improvement, innovation and change initiatives to enhance service performance and patient outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and substantial senior nursing leadership experience in a relevant ambulatory, outpatient or community healthcare setting.
  • A proven leader who can inspire, develop and support multidisciplinary teams while fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across services and manage complex issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience managing clinical operations, workforce planning and resources to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality and patient-centred care.
  • A strategic and adaptable thinker with the ability to lead change, drive service improvement and achieve organisational goals in a dynamic healthcare environment.
