Senior Associate Solicitor, Antitrust & Competition
A leading Irish law firm's Antitrust & Competition team is hiring an experienced competition lawyer to advise domestic and international clients on complex competition, regulatory and market compliance matters across a broad range of sectors.
This team advises on some of the most significant competition and regulatory work in the Irish market — landmark mergers reshaping entire sectors (agri-food, waste and environmental services), state aid and regulatory advice for state and semi-state bodies, merger clearances and joint ventures across energy, telecoms and media, and complex EU-level cartel and abuse-of-dominance matters for global financial services, technology and pharmaceutical clients. The team also advises leading multinational technology companies on the Digital Markets Act and Digital Services Act, and regularly leads multi-jurisdictional merger control and foreign investment screening reviews for global private equity and investment management clients.
You'll play a key role delivering strategic advice on merger control, antitrust investigations, abuse of dominance, state aid, FDI screening, digital markets regulation and sector-specific regulatory frameworks — working within an international team, including partners with Brussels experience and an active European network.
What we're looking for: qualified solicitor in Ireland or England & Wales; 3+ years' PQE from a leading law firm, a competition authority, or a regulatory practice; strong experience in EU competition law, merger control, antitrust investigations and competition compliance; state aid experience desirable but not essential; excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills; a genuinely commercial, client-focused mindset.
