Benefits: - Competitive Pay - Relocation Package - Paid Holidays - Company Vehicle for work related travel - Paid Time Off - Medical, Dental, Vision, etc - Bonus Potential RESPONSIBILITIES · Operate a hot mix asphalt plant efficiently to obtain all production goals · Move raw aggregate and liquid asphalt materials through the mixing drum to be stored in silos until ready for delivery to the job sites or to be loaded into trucks · Operate the plant computer systems · Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure a quality mix is being produced · Assist the foreman and superintendents with material ordering, scheduling, inventory management, and record keeping · Effectively communicate with road crews, drivers, dispatchers, and external customers · Schedule and perform daily/weekly/monthly/annual plant maintenance · Order and maintain inventory of plant parts, grease, asphalt oil · Supervise and set expectations for plant employees · Supervise daily activities and ensure safety policies are being followed at the plant · Adhere to OSHA rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment. · Perform other job responsibilities as assigned Qualifications REQUIREMENTS · General knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment · General knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems · Welding ability is preferred but not required · 5+ years of experience operating a hot mix asphalt plant is preferred · Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record. · Must have a positive attitude and work well with others when under pressure · Must be able to work with and manage a team on all types of projects · Lift/move up to 50 lbs. · Work outdoors in all weather conditions · Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed · Reliable transportation · Willing to travel/work out of town, as needed · Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check This is a full-time, benefits eligible position.
