THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE Corporate & Commercial Banking is looking for an Associate Director – Specialised & Project Finance (Origination and Structuring) based out of London We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join the Specialised and Project Finance team within the Specialised & Structured Finance division. Structured Finance’s focus is primarily debt-led, delivering funding solutions, mainly for complex and event driven opportunities across both new and existing CCB clients. This is a transactional role, but always working collaboratively alongside relationship team colleagues and the wider CCB community. The Specialised & Project Finance team specialises in several sectors that frequently require these types of funding solutions, including infrastructure and renewable energy; sports, media, and entertainment; and financial services and fund finance. You’ll be working in conjunction with more senior team members to originate and cover a wide range of sectors, with responsibility for structuring appropriate funding solutions for new and existing clients. You will also be supporting the team with strategic initiatives, including green finance initiatives. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for: Originating new customers/event driven and/or complex transactions, whilst maintaining high levels of credit quality Displaying expertise technical, legal and credit / debt structuring skills and (where appropriate) being able to apply them across a wide range of sub sectors and borrowers Building and strengthen collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders to maximise the customer experience and drive internal improvements Supporting and coordinating the management of all aspects of a deal team’s activities, including timeline management; credit writing; financial analysis/modelling; committee presentations; and working with external legal counsel and third-party advisers Demonstrating risk identification and mitigation techniques, working within approved credit processes and appetite frameworks WHAT YOU’LL BRING Our people are our greatest strength. Professional Experience Proven track record of completing Structured Finance/ Strategic Debt Solutions transactions with an analytical mindset (Required) Relevant experience in a Corporate Banking or Corporate Finance environment (Required) An understanding of Renewable Energy or Infrastructure in the Corporate & Commercial Bank, including our products and services offered (Preferred) Education Working towards or an achieved professional accountancy qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CFA (Preferred) Hard Skills Expertise in Statistics or Advanced analytics (Preferred) Soft Skills Excellent communication skills both written and oral with both internal and external stakeholders (Required) WE VALUE YOUR IMPACT At Santander, your contribution matters. Salary Range: £71,098.00 - £106,646.00 per annum (depending on experience) This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
