Position Responsibilities: Lead development, integration and documentation of structural fatigue and fracture requirements. Verify structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Lead development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Define and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Able to plan and execute tasks within constraints imposed by internal and external customer schedules. Work under minimal direction Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences) Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience 2+ years of working with fatigue and damage tolerance analysis 1+ years of experience with Spectrum Generation 1+ years of experience full-scale testing and/or other structural and material testing plans 1+ years of experience with application of classical stress intensity solutions 1+ years of experience with PATRAN/NASTRAN, StressCheck, NASGRO, AFGROW Experience writing technical reports This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Some positions may require the ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
