About Our Client

Our client is a prestigious, high-profile sports club based in Abu Dhabi. Known for hosting major live sporting events and VIP functions, they are currently seeking a versatile AV Technician to join their internal technical team and elevate their venue operations.

Role Overview

As an AV Technician, you will be the technical backbone of live events, race days, and daily venue operations. This is a hybrid role requiring a strong split of expertise: 70% advanced AV management and live production, and 30% hands-on IT troubleshooting and network support.

Key Responsibilities

AV & Live Event Production (70%)

• Live Event Execution: Lead the setup, testing, and live operation of multi-zone PA systems, large-format LED screens, digital signage, and broadcast feeds.
• System Maintenance: Maintain and repair permanent AV installations, including amplifiers, digital mixers, wireless microphones, and video switchers.
• External Coordination: Act as the primary technical liaison for external broadcast crews, production vendors, and media teams during major events.
• Control Systems: Manage and basic-program centralized AV control systems to ensure seamless day-to-day operation.

IT & Network Support (30%)

• First-Line IT Support: Provide swift hardware and software troubleshooting for office staff and VIP event areas (Windows/Mac, printers, and productivity apps).
• Network Monitoring: Assist in managing local network infrastructure (Wi-Fi access points, LAN switches, and fiber links) to guarantee uninterrupted connectivity during high-capacity events.
• CCTV & IPTV: Monitor and maintain the venue's IP camera systems and digital TV distribution networks.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience as an AV Technician, ideally within stadiums, large-scale live event environments, or luxury hospitality.
• AV Expertise: Strong proficiency in digital audio protocols (e.g., Dante), video routing, and LED video wall calibration.
• IT Competency: Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, Wi-Fi configuration, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
• Flexibility: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, to align with the venue's live event and race schedules.
• Communication: Fluency in English is mandatory.
