GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Avionics Repair & Interior Install Technician is responsible for removing and reinstalling aircraft interior furnishings, performing minor interior repairs, and troubleshooting and repairing aircraft avionics and electrical systems. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety while supporting aircraft maintenance and refurbishment projects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, direct, and perform aircraft interior disassembly and reassembly projects.
• Remove and reinstall aircraft interior furnishings and components.
• Repair or replace minor damaged interior items as directed.
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft avionics equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical systems.
• Collaborate with team members and other service departments to accomplish established project goals.
• Communicate project progress regularly with the Department Supervisor and Crew Chief.
• Ensure all work performed is inspected by an authorized repair station inspector.
• Complete required paperwork accurately, legibly, and on a daily basis.
• Report tooling or equipment discrepancies to the Crew Chief.
• Follow company work order and parts requisition procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

TOP CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six or more years of interior installation/removal experience in aircraft, automotive, yacht, RV, or a related industry preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to expand technical knowledge and skills.
• Ability to work effectively on a team and provide guidance to less experienced technicians.
• Strong communication skills in straightforward work situations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• High-quality workmanship and a strong work ethic.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Ability to attain and maintain required airport access credentials (AOA badge or equivalent).
• Ability to provide and maintain the minimum required tooling for assigned work.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, squat, kneel, and stoop.
• Good hand dexterity and ability to perform repetitive motions.
• Visual acuity correctable to 20/20.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated work areas, extreme temperatures, and noisy environments.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work overtime and various shifts as business needs require.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

COMPENSATION

The base hourly range for this role is $30.00 to $50.00 per hour. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of experience levels. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, certifications, skills, and business needs.
