At PayDepot, we build cutting-edge B2B & B2C fintech products. As we scale, we’re looking for a Backend Developer to help us design reliable, performant, and scalable backend systems that power our analytics and financial services.
We have a modern office in Limassol, and if you’re not in Cyprus yet - we’ll support your relocation and help settle you and your family.
What you’ll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data pipelines that enable business intelligence and analytics
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Design and maintain data models and schemas for efficient querying and reporting
- Integrate with internal and third-party APIs and data sources
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and data integrity across distributed environments
- Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in code reviews
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve backend systems and data flows
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework - core of our backend stack.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database design, with a focus on PostgreSQL.
- Experience with any NoSQL databases like Redis.
- Experience with message brokers such as ActiveMQ
- Good English.
