Backend Engineer, Associate

About the Role

Join a small engineering team at a healthcare AI company building backend systems that automate clinical administrative workflows. You will help improve patient access to care by developing reliable infrastructure for processing clinical information and supporting customer onboarding.

What You'll Do

• Architect and deploy backend systems that process high volumes of data through APIs.

• Shape product improvements by incorporating direct customer feedback.

• Build secure, reliable agentic infrastructure for clinical information processing.

• Own critical backend systems and guide their technical evolution.

• Scale architecture to support customer onboarding and company growth.

What We're Looking For

• At least five years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical role, including 0 to 1 years specifically in professional backend development.

• Experience shipping production software or systems, and proficiency in Python.

• Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform, and an understanding of prompt engineering.

• A strong GitHub profile with active, meaningful contributions.

• Currently employed in a role at an established company, with availability for five-day, in-person work.

• Interest in building impactful healthcare products.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range is $120,000 to $250,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.
