About the Role
Join a core infrastructure team at an energy technology company building software for dynamic electricity plans. You will develop backend systems for billing, energy-market communications, and accounting, helping make these services reliable and scalable.
What You'll Do
Design backend systems that address complex billing and energy-service requirements.
Build and scale core services that support dynamic electricity plans and reliable billing.
Develop and maintain backend data access and service logic.
Contribute hands-on to production code and ship improvements with ownership.
Help raise the quality and maintainability of core infrastructure.
What We're Looking For
At least 3 years of experience building reliable backend infrastructure.
Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js, including asynchronous programming.
Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM-based data access.
Experience building backend services with Next.js, including API routes or server components.
Familiarity with distributed-systems concepts and scalable, maintainable service design.
Experience integrating Stripe payments and billing flows.
Strong computer science fundamentals through a degree or equivalent practical experience, plus evidence of exceptional technical work.
Broad application-building experience and a hands-on record of recent production coding and shipping.
Fluent German at C1 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: €80,000 to €120,000. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site, five days per week in Berlin, Germany.
