The HGS hospitals (part of University Hospitals Birmingham) Cardiology department currently spans three hospital sites, Birmingham Heartlands, Solihull and Good Hope Hospitals.

We are currently have 2 vacancies for full-time Band 5 nurse in the cardiac catheter lab. You will be expected to work across all three sites when required and participate in weekend / overnight on call as necessary at BHH. To be responsible for the delivery of patient centred care, ensuring patient care and safety.
To work in the cardiac catheter lab, deliver specialist care, and share knowledge with acute medical nursing teams, patients, and relatives.

- Evidence of professional and clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level leading to Professional registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register i.e. ( Adult / Child / Learning Disability or Mental Health)
- Evidence of undergraduate education for newly qualified nurses / or post graduate continuing professional development for registered nurses who have post registration experience

- Previous / recent experience or working in an acute secondary health and care setting (can include undergraduate student placements within the last 12 months)
- Willingness to become a practice supervisor / assessor to or meets Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for student supervision and assessment
- Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the NMC code of conduct and the proficiencies and standards for registered nurses can apply this to undergraduate training or post graduate practice
