ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a client-facing electrical BIM role on large-scale mission-critical construction. You will own the electrical model on your projects — from preconstruction coordination through prefabrication and field execution — and act as the bridge between the project site team and Techture's offsite production teams.

You will sit in coordination meetings with GCs, design teams and other trades, resolve clashes, drive constructability decisions, and make sure what leaves our model can be built in the field without rework.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Model Management: Manage and maintain electrical BIM models in Autodesk Revit covering power distribution, medium-voltage systems, switchgear and substations, bus duct, cable tray and conduit, grounding systems, lighting and controls, and fire protection and security systems.
• Coordination: Run and contribute to BIM coordination meetings; coordinate the electrical model against architectural, structural, mechanical and plumbing models using Navisworks-based clash detection, and drive clashes to closure.
• Constructability: Plan electrical room layouts, equipment clearances, cable tray and conduit routing, and installation sequencing; verify constructability before field installation begins.
• Prefabrication: Support prefabrication and modular assembly strategies, including spool drawings and rack layouts for offsite fabrication.
• Field Support: Assist in producing shop drawings and work with superintendents and field personnel to understand installation means and methods.
• Change Management: Guide team to incorporate RFIs, ASIs and design changes into the model in coordination with field teams; maintain model currency against the released design.
• Quality: Conduct QA/QC on deliverables produced by Techture's India-based teams and enforce BEP, project workflows, content standards and naming conventions.
• Estimation Support: Assist with model-based quantity takeoffs and estimating for electrical scopes.
• Closeout: Support commissioning documentation and as-built / closeout deliverables.
• Client Relationships: Attend kick-off, coordination and weekly review meetings; visit client offices and job sites as required; maintain a high standard of written and verbal communication.
• Growth: Identify opportunities to expand scope and introduce additional Techture service offerings on existing accounts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 4+ years of BIM coordination experience in the US construction industry, on electrical scopes.
• Technical Skills: Electrical power and lighting layouts, cable tray and conduit sizing and routing, circuiting, and panel schedules.
• Software: Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, Trimble, Microsoft Office Suite
• Code Knowledge: Working knowledge of the US National Electrical Code (NEC) and US construction documentation standards.
• Coordination: Demonstrated experience leading or actively contributing to multi-trade BIM coordination meetings.
• Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or equivalent practical experience.
• Communication: Clear, confident written and verbal communication.
• Travel: Willingness and ability to travel to job sites and client offices as needed.
• Attributes: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; adaptable to change with the ability to multitask; dependable, honest and ethical.
• Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Field experience with an electrical contractor (installation, layout or superintendent exposure).
• Experience on mission-critical facilities, data centers, industrial or utility projects.
• Experience working with offshore or distributed production teams.
