Bridge System Engineer (BrSE) — Nagoya, Japan

Job Description

iPlus Solution is hiring a Bridge System Engineer (BrSE) to join our Nagoya office and serve as the communication and technical liaison between our Japanese clients and our offshore engineering teams. This is a senior, client-facing role that requires fluency in business-level Japanese and a solid grasp of cloud infrastructure and modern web development.

You will own end-to-end project communication: translating business requirements into technical specifications, coordinating sprint planning with offshore developers, and ensuring delivery quality across cultural and time-zone boundaries. The first engagement focuses on building AWS infrastructure and delivering web development tasks for a long-term Japanese enterprise client.

Requirements

Experience

• Proven track record as a Bridge System Engineer with at least 3 years of experience facilitating Japan-offshore collaboration
• Hands-on experience provisioning and managing AWS environments for production workloads
• Solid understanding of modern web development architecture (REST APIs, SPA frameworks, CI/CD)
  
  

Language

• Business-level Japanese (JLPT N1)
• Working English proficiency for technical documentation
  
  

Education

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary bridge between Japanese clients and the offshore development team, ensuring clear and timely communication
• Translate business requirements and technical specifications between Japanese and English/Vietnamese
• Coordinate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and review meetings across both teams
• Design and provision AWS-based infrastructure for client projects (VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch)
• Contribute to web development implementation when required, supporting the offshore team with code review and architectural guidance
• Ensure delivery quality, manage risks proactively, and report project status to client stakeholders
