As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You'll work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and you'll use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Your expertise in lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving higher levels of productivity and cost-effectiveness. You'll develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies to identify root cause issues and solutions that ensure operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily manufacturing build operations and drive resolution of production issues.
- Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, SAP routings, work instructions, and operating procedures.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for assembly and quality issues.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering changes (ECO), and product / design transfer activities.
- Apply DFx and Lean Manufacturing principles to improve quality, productivity, and manufacturability.
- Design, develop, and validate manufacturing jigs, fixtures, tooling, and assembly aids to improve safety, quality, and productivity
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering teams to ensure production readiness.
- Analyze manufacturing data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review and interpret 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models to support assembly, troubleshooting, and manufacturability improvements.
- Provide design-for-manufacturability feedback to engineering teams during product development and transfer phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly engineering.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting 2D drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and 3D CAD models.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing is preferred.
