C++ Core Developer @ Quant Trading Firm - 2+ years experience - relocation to SG

Role: Core Developer – C++ / Exchange Connectivity

📍 Singapore (relocation supported — candidates from Hong Kong or Taipei especially welcome) | Full-time

I'm working with a leading global market-making firm to hire a Core Developer for their Core Development team in Singapore. This team owns the trading system's core order management protocol — internal message processing plus connectivity to external trading venues — and is actively growing its footprint in China. This hire will play a key role in strengthening the firm's links into Chinese brokers and exchanges, including the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain the core order management protocol handling internal message processing and exchange connectivity.
• Develop and support connectivity into Chinese exchanges and brokers (including the Shanghai Stock Exchange) as part of the firm's expanding China business.
• Work with counterparties across China to gather the market and protocol information needed to build and maintain robust connections.
• Build high-performance, low-latency systems in modern C++ within a Linux environment.
• Analyze and optimize performance across complex networking infrastructure (TCP, UDP) to keep trades flowing smoothly at optimal speed.

What we're looking for

• Mastery of modern C++
• Strong academic background from a good university
• 2–4 years of relevant experience (up to ~7 considered, exceptional recent grads welcome)
• Fluent English and Mandarin with genuinely strong communication skills — able to clearly explain your work and its impact
• Experience with or strong interest in Chinese exchanges and the China market
• Open to candidates from any technical background — finance experience isn't required.
