C++ Developer / Quantitative Developer
Prague | Permanent & Contract Opportunities
Radley James is working with a leading global financial institution looking to hire experienced C++ Developers and Quantitative Developers in Prague. The opportunities span both high-performance software engineering and front-office quantitative technology.
The teams are looking for strong C++ engineers to develop and enhance performance-critical systems and analytical libraries supporting the wider Markets business. Depending on the role, the work can range from low-latency and real-time engineering through to quantitative analytics, pricing, risk and front-office libraries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality C++ systems and applications.
- Build and enhance performance-critical and real-time software.
- Develop and maintain analytical libraries supporting front-office trading and quantitative workflows.
- Optimise applications for performance, latency and scalability.
- Work extensively with multithreading, concurrency and memory management.
- Collaborate with quantitative, technology and business stakeholders.
- Take ownership of projects throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Investigate performance bottlenecks and improve existing systems and architecture.
Requirements
- 7+ years of strong professional experience developing production systems in modern C++.
- Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, memory management and concurrency.
- Strong multithreading and performance optimisation experience.
- Experience developing within Linux environments.
- Strong software engineering practices, including testing and maintainable code.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice-To-Have Experience
- Low-latency, real-time or other performance-critical systems.
- Quantitative development, analytical libraries, pricing or risk systems.
- Financial markets or front-office technology.
- SQL or KDB.
- Python or Shell scripting.
- Experience working directly with quantitative analysts, traders or other front-office stakeholders.
Financial markets experience is not essential for all opportunities, and strong C++ engineers from other performance-critical environments are encouraged to apply.
