We are seeking a Certified Prosthetist / Orthotist (CPO) or Board-Eligible Prosthetist/Orthotist to join a growing Orthotics & Prosthetics practice serving patients throughout Louisiana.

Both experienced practitioners and recent residency graduates who are preparing for their board examinations are encouraged to apply.

This position offers a combination of clinical patient care and mobile services, allowing you to provide prosthetic and orthotic care in an office setting as well as in patients' homes and healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and determine appropriate prosthetic and orthotic treatment
• Perform patient assessments, measurements, fittings, adjustments, and follow-up care
• Provide custom and off-the-shelf prosthetic and orthotic services
• Provide upper- and lower-extremity prosthetic care
• Provide spinal, pediatric, and other orthotic services as appropriate
• Work with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers
• Educate patients and families on the use, care, and maintenance of devices
• Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to improve comfort, mobility, and function
• Document patient care and maintain appropriate clinical records
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives
• Provide mobile patient care at homes, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, and other locations
• Support positive patient relationships and contribute to the growth of the practice
  
  

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or equivalent education required for the applicable certification pathway
• ABC or BOC certification preferred
• Board-eligible candidates are welcome to apply
• Recent O&P residency graduates preparing for board examinations are encouraged to apply
• Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Comfortable traveling to patient homes and healthcare facilities

Work Environment

This is a patient-focused role with both clinical and mobile care responsibilities.

You will have access to modern O&P technology and centralized fabrication support, allowing you to focus on patient care while working with a broad range of prosthetic and orthotics services.

A company vehicle is provided for mobile patient visits.
