Lead a Venture-Backed Technology Company Through Its Next Defining Chapter

Are you a world-class finance leader who thrives at the intersection of capital markets, strategy, and execution?

We are partnering with one of Southeast Asia's most exciting high-growth technology businesses, a venture-backed SaaS platform leveraging technology to transform operations at scale across emerging markets. With strong investor backing, ambitious expansion plans, and a clear path toward a future public listing, the business is seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team.

This is not a traditional CFO role.

You will be a strategic partner to the founders, a trusted advisor to the Board, and a key architect of the company's journey toward becoming a globally recognized public company. This position is permanently based in Manila, Philippines, and we welcome experienced international candidates seeking a career-defining relocation opportunity.

Why This Opportunity?

  • Lead the financial strategy of a rapidly scaling, venture-backed technology company.
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping and executing an international IPO.
  • Partner directly with founders, board members, institutional investors, and global banking partners.
  • Drive high-profile fundraising, M&A, and corporate development initiatives.
  • Build a world-class finance function from the ground up with public-market standards.
  • Join at a stage where your leadership can materially influence enterprise value creation.

The Opportunity

As CFO, you will sit at the heart of the business, helping to shape strategic decisions, unlock growth opportunities, and prepare the organisation for its next phase of evolution.

You will combine the strategic mindset of an investor, the commercial instincts of an operator, and the execution capability required to build a finance organisation capable of supporting a future public company.

Key Responsibilities

IPO Leadership & Capital Markets Strategy

  • Lead the strategic planning, preparation, and execution of the company's future international IPO.
  • Partner closely with the Board, founders, legal advisors, and investment banks to develop and deliver the company's public market roadmap.
  • Serve as the primary financial spokesperson for investors, underwriters, and key external stakeholders.

Fundraising, M&A & Corporate Development

  • Lead institutional equity fundraising initiatives and secure growth capital to accelerate expansion.
  • Drive cross-border debt financing strategies and optimize complex capital structures.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and execute strategic acquisitions, partnerships, and investment opportunities.

Strategic Leadership

  • Act as a trusted thought partner to the CEO, influencing major business decisions across growth, expansion, and operations.
  • Provide financial and commercial insights that drive enterprise-wide value creation.
  • Support investor relations, board engagement, and long-term strategic planning.

Finance Transformation & Operational Excellence

  • Build and lead a best-in-class finance organisation capable of supporting a publicly listed company.
  • Establish scalable financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
  • Ensure financial discipline while enabling aggressive growth objectives.

Governance, Compliance & Controls

  • Develop and implement robust governance frameworks, risk management structures, and internal control environments.
  • Lead the transition toward IFRS-compliant reporting standards and public-company readiness.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a rare combination of investor, strategist, operator, and builder.

Ideal Background:

  • Proven experience as a CFO, Deputy CFO, or senior finance executive within a high-growth technology, SaaS, fintech, or venture-backed business.
  • Prior foundation within Investment Banking, Private Equity, Growth Equity, or a similarly rigorous corporate finance environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading IPO readiness, public listings, major fundraising rounds, or significant liquidity events.
  • Deep expertise across capital markets, M&A, institutional fundraising, corporate structuring, and investor relations.
  • Strong understanding of Southeast Asian markets and cross-border business environments.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial organisations where agility and execution are critical.

Personal Attributes:

  • Strategic thinker with exceptional commercial judgement.
  • Highly credible communicator capable of engaging founders, boards, institutional investors, and global financial partners.
  • Comfortable moving seamlessly between boardroom strategy discussions and operational execution.
  • Naturally entrepreneurial with the resilience and adaptability required to thrive in a high-growth environment.
  • Ambitious, hands-on, and excited by the opportunity to create long-term value in a transformative business.

The Impact You'll Make

This role offers a unique opportunity to join a company at a pivotal inflection point. The successful candidate will help define the company's capital markets story, build the infrastructure of a future public organisation, and play a central role in creating one of the region's most compelling technology success stories.

For finance leaders seeking their next landmark challenge, opportunities of this scale and visibility are rare.

Interested in shaping the future of a high-growth technology business and leading its journey to the public markets? We'd love to hear from you.
