Sante Recruitment is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist Psychiatrist to join the Townsville Mental Health Service Group, working within the Child, Adolescent and Young Adult Services (CAYAS).
This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychiatrist seeking a permanent position within a comprehensive, multidisciplinary mental health service, with the flexibility to work across a range of CAYAS teams.
Permanent full-time or part-time employment is available, with hours negotiable.

The service combines specialist consultation, assessment and treatment for young people experiencing significant mental health disorders, as well as supporting their families and carer networks.

Remuneration & Benefits An attractive Queensland Health remuneration package is available, including:
- Base salary: $8,511.50 – $10,791.60 per fortnight
- Hourly rate: $106.39 – $134.90
- Attraction & Retention incentive of up to $111,029 per annum
- Regional & Rural Attraction Allowance of up to $13,334 per annum
- Vehicle allowance of up to $25,500 per annum
- Professional Development Allowance of $21,500 per annum
- Professional Development Leave
- Locality allowance
- 17.5% annual leave loading
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- Salary packaging/sacrificing options may be available
- Generous Queensland Health leave entitlements
- Relocation assistance, including temporary accommodation, may be available
Essential Requirements Applicants Must Have
- Specialist qualifications in Psychiatry recognised by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)
- Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
- Eligibility to obtain Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) through the Townsville Hospital and Health Service Credentialing and SoCP Committee
- A current Class C driver's licence, as the position requires the incumbent to operate a Class C motor vehicle
