NOW HIRING – CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST

Shift: Day Shift

Position Type: Direct Hire

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week

Salary: Starting at $24.70/hour

• Eligible for clinical ladder

• Shift differential if offered

• $1,000 relocation assistance with a 1-year commitment and 70-mile radius requirement

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a related field
• Completion of a 600-hour Child Life internship or fellowship
• CCLS certification OR must complete certification requirements within 1 year of employment
• 0–1 year of experience in child development required
• Healthcare setting experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Master’s degree in Child Life Studies preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assess developmental and therapeutic needs of hospitalized children and their families
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities to support coping with the hospital environment
• Document child life assessments, observations, recommendations, and progress notes
• Orient and supervise volunteers supporting play and developmental activities
• Participate in community, marketing, and public relations activities related to children’s health
• Support research and evidence-based practices
• Maintain current clinical and educational knowledge in child life services
