Cisco Meraki L3 Network Engineer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced Cisco Meraki L3 Network Engineer to join our network engineering team and take ownership of complex network and security escalations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• OAct as an L3 escalation point for complex network and security incidents.
• Troubleshoot and administer Cisco Meraki MX, MS, and MR environments.
• Manage and optimize Meraki SD-WAN, Site-to-Site VPN, Client VPN, firewall policies, and traffic shaping.
• Design and implement HA, VLAN segmentation, routing, switching, and Zero-Touch Provisioning.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, static routing, STP, trunking, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
• Manage enterprise wireless environments, including SSIDs, RF optimization, and guest networks.
• Configure and maintain IDS/IPS, AMP, content filtering, and Layer 7 firewall policies.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, packet analysis, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Support P1/P2 incidents and lead technical resolution bridges.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, and Meraki APIs.
• Work with Cisco TAC, ISPs, Security, Cloud, and Application teams.
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and contribute to technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki MX, MS & MR – MUST HAVE
• Strong knowledge of Meraki Dashboard and SD-WAN
• BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, trunking, and routing/switching
• IPsec and Client VPN
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewall & NAT
• Enterprise wireless networking
• Network security and troubleshooting
• Wireshark / tcpdump
• Experience with SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar monitoring tools
• Basic scripting/API experience with Python or PowerShell

Good to Have

• Cisco/Meraki certifications
• ITIL knowledge
• Enterprise network design experience
• Cloud networking and migration experience
• Experience managing critical P1/P2 incidents
