Job Title: Civil Engineer/ Business Development Manager (PE)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer PE to join our team in either New Philadelphia, OH or Independence, OH. This role offers relocation assistance and the opportunity to grow within a well-established company. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in surface water or water resources engineering, planning, or infrastructure delivery, along with established relationships within Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex municipal or utility projects from planning through delivery.
• Engage with public funding programs, regulatory agencies, and local decision-makers.
• Manage client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
• Demonstrate strong project management and financial management skills.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and mentor junior professionals.
• Represent the company confidently in client, partner, and community stakeholder meetings.
• Travel 50% of the time, primarily within Ohio, to manage projects and build relationships.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineering License in Ohio.
• Experience in surface water project management with a focus on municipal projects.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams.
• Strong communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Business development experience in the civil engineering space.
• Experience with municipal wastewater and water treatment projects.
• Ability to bring a small book of business in the water/wastewater space.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a mix of in-office staff development and management of technical deliverables. The role requires travel to local municipalities and meetings to build and maintain relationships with cities, counties, and utilities. This position offers flexibility, independence in decision-making within budgetary constraints, and opportunities for career growth through managing a growing team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Independence, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $210000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
