Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is seeking a Client Services Technician to join the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) Department. The Client Services Technician is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting student laptops and other Institute-owned computer systems. This role also supports and maintains campus printers used by employees and students in public areas. Key responsibilities include identifying, investigating, and resolving basic technical issues, managing hardware inventory, scheduling equipment maintenance, and performing routine hardware repairs. The successful candidate will configure and deploy new devices for employees and students, provide recommendations regarding technology and service solutions, and deliver and set up workstations and other hardware in accordance with Institute standards and best practices. This position also provides first-level technical support through walk-in assistance, on-site visits, phone calls, and email communications. Additionally, the Client Services Technician will install, configure, and maintain software required for network connectivity, backups, server access, and other computing services to ensure a reliable and secure technology environment for the campus community. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED. One to three years of relevant work experience. Preferred candidates will have an associate degree or vocational or technical school degree. Pay range is $22.84 – $26.68 (or $47,500 - $55,500 annually). Pay is competitive. A higher pay may be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
