🧠 About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Psychologist to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults living with brain injury, providing specialist psychological and case management interventions across a predominantly adult caseload aged 16–65.

Working as part of the New England Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service (NEBIRS) multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to the delivery of high-quality, specialist rehabilitation that supports clients to achieve meaningful goals, maximise independence and participate more fully in their everyday lives.

The role offers the opportunity to work within a community-based model of care, including the Transitional Living Unit, supporting people across the northern areas of the Hunter New England Local Health District.

🌿 Where You’ll Be Working

The New England Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service (NEBIRS) is based within the grounds of Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, providing a specialist rehabilitation service in the heart of the New England region.

Located approximately halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, Tamworth is a vibrant and progressive regional city surrounded by the natural beauty of tree-covered mountains. With a population of around 60,000, Tamworth offers an enviable blend of career opportunity, community connection and lifestyle, making it a welcoming place to live and work.

Essential Requirements

  • Masters degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology from an APAC accredited course with current full registration with Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Current eligibility to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.
