Cloud Platforms & Azure DevOps Specialist

We are partnering with an enterprise client to modernise their delivery pipelines and scale cloud-native landing zones. We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platforms & Azure DevOps Specialist to represent our organisation and take technical ownership of build/release automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Azure platform governance.

In this role, you will bridge systems operations and software release pipelines within our client’s environment. You will be instrumental in architecting CI/CD pipelines, enforcing security guardrails, and managing enterprise cloud workloads with Azure DevOps, Terraform, Bicep, and Kubernetes.

Core Responsibilities

• CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Design, build, and maintain enterprise build/release pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML) and GitHub Actions.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Standardise and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Azure Platform Governance: Implement and maintain Azure Policy, Management Groups, role-based access controls (RBAC), and Landing Zones.
• Container Orchestration: Manage and scale microservices deployments on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Apps.
• Observability & Reliability: Build monitoring, telemetry dashboards, and alerting workflows using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Client Engagement & Collaboration: Partner with client development leads to automate delivery velocity, reduce deployment lead times, and embed DevSecOps practices.

Selection Criteria

• Azure & DevOps Mastery: Extensive commercial experience managing Azure cloud environments and engineering Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure as Code: Proven hands-on proficiency with Terraform or Bicep in enterprise-scale environments.
• Containers & Scripting: Practical experience with Docker/AKS and scripting capabilities in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Cloud Security: Solid understanding of DevSecOps, identity management (Microsoft Entra ID), and vulnerability scanning in pipelines.
• Location Requirements: Currently residing in Australia with valid work rights or eligibility for 482 visa sponsorship/transfer.
