About the Role

Hillery Group is seeking a full-time Commercial Finance Manager based in Bowen or Airlie Beach, reporting to the Director of Finance and Commercial.

• Prepare job-level budgets, forecasts, and oversee project/job costing
• Prepare P&Ls, management reports, and director/board-level reporting packs
• Partner with directors and operational leaders to strengthen commercial accountability
• Provide financial modelling and analysis for tenders, pricing and commercial activities
• Manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable team

About You

You're an experienced commercial finance professional who is comfortable working across both the detail and the bigger picture.

You'll bring:

• Proven hands-on commercial finance experience across P&Ls, budgets, forecasts and job costing
• Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability
• Strong business partnering skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
• Team leadership experience and a practical, hands-on approach to finance
• Strong commercial judgement, accuracy and an ability to turn financial information into useful business insight

Experience in civil construction, project-based businesses, quarrying, heavy industry or a similar operational environment will be highly regarded.

CIMA, MBA, Master's in Finance, CA/CPA or another relevant postgraduate/professional qualification will also be highly regarded.
