Job Summary: The Bechtel Equipment Construction Solution Manager leads BEO’s construction solutions function and serves as a key partner to projects in defining practical means and methods for safe, efficient, and cost-effective field execution. This role oversees Bechtel Equipment subject matter experts who provide consulting services, constructability support, and practical solutions to real-life project challenges. The position connects equipment expertise, field operations, engineering, service management, and customer engagement to support project planning, execution readiness, and successful construction outcomes. #LI-TH1 Major Responsibilities: Lead the evaluation, development, and implementation of equipment-based construction solutions, including project means and methods that improve field execution. Direct and coordinate Bechtel Equipment subject matter experts who support projects through consulting services, constructability reviews, and resolution of field execution challenges. Partner with project teams to identify real-life construction issues, assess equipment-related constraints, and recommend practical solutions that support safe and productive execution. Oversee the full lifecycle of construction solutions, from early constructability input and need identification through field implementation and transition to operations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including equipment manufacturers and suppliers, to evaluate practical solutions that meet project and operational needs. Provide engineering oversight and ensure all solutions meet Bechtel’s technical, safety, and operational standards. Guide the development of operating documents, technical specifications, and performance metrics Engage with equipment manufacturers during design and prototype phases to influence product development Align construction solution development with enterprise goals, project requirements, safety expectations, and operational priorities. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for development initiatives. Support proposal development and execution planning for major projects, ensuring engineered solutions are embedded early Serve as a technical liaison with project managers, site teams, and customer representatives. Represent Bechtel’s construction and equipment expertise in customer engagements, project reviews, and industry forums. Lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to the development of engineering best practices. Mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers, analysts, and specialists. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Coordinate with regional service managers, SMEs, and field operations to ensure project needs, lessons learned, and field feedback are captured and incorporated into future means and methods guidance. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree. Required Knowledge and Skills: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering engineered solutions. Experience supporting major construction projects, equipment planning, field execution, or advanced work packaging. Familiarity with Bechtel’s equipment lifecycle, procurement, and fleet management systems. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
