ROLE OVERVIEW The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Assess and manage elective and emergency general surgery patients. • Perform open and laparoscopic procedures according to specialty scope and facility privileges. • Provide perioperative care, complication management, ward rounds and outpatient follow-up. • Collaborate with anaesthesia, ICU, radiology, gastroenterology, oncology and emergency teams. • Contribute to surgical pathways, theatre efficiency, infection prevention and patient safety programs. • Maintain accurate consent, operative notes, discharge summaries and clinical documentation.
