Consultant Pediatric Hematologist / Oncologist - Abu Dhabi

Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide specialized diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management for children and adolescents with hematologic disorders and pediatric cancers. The role requires advanced clinical expertise, a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, and a strong commitment to delivering compassionate, family-centered treatment throughout the patient journey. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage a broad range of pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors, anemia, clotting disorders, and other blood diseases. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient condition, clinical protocols, and evidence-based practices. Administer and oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion therapy, and supportive care treatments. Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams including pediatricians, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, pharmacists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals. Monitor patient progress, treatment response, and potential complications while adjusting management plans as required. Provide compassionate counseling, education, and emotional support to patients and families throughout diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and medical technologies to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in tumor boards, departmental meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Stay updated with advancements in pediatric hematology and oncology research, treatments, and clinical guidelines. Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in compliance with DOH regulations and hospital standards. Contribute to teaching, mentoring, and professional development of junior medical staff when applicable. Qualifications & Requirements Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution. Completion of specialty training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Must hold one of the following recognized qualifications: UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) American Board Certification Canadian Board Certification DOH Abu Dhabi License or eligibility is mandatory. Minimum 5 years of post-board experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Strong expertise in pediatric cancer management, hematologic disorders, and advanced treatment protocols. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Compassionate and empathetic approach toward pediatric patients and families. Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced multidisciplinary healthcare environment. Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage. Preferred Skills Experience in bone marrow transplantation and advanced pediatric oncology treatments. Background in internationally accredited hospitals or tertiary healthcare centers.
