About the Role
As a Consultant Psychiatrist within the Adult Mental Health Service, you will provide expert clinical leadership and specialist psychiatric care across a range of community and inpatient settings. Working alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams, you will deliver evidence-based, recovery-focused care while contributing to service innovation, education and research.
Opportunities are available within Adult Community Mental Health Teams as well as Holiday Relief positions, offering variety and exposure to a broad range of clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adult patients.
Provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team.
Support recovery-oriented and patient-centred models of care.
Participate in teaching, supervision and mentoring of junior medical staff and trainees.
Contribute to quality improvement, service development and research initiatives.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), or equivalent specialist qualifications recognised by the College.
Specialist registration, or eligibility for specialist registration, with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Experience or a strong interest in Adult Psychiatry.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality mental health care.
