Continuous Improvement Advisor / NEW MEXICO LOCATION

We're looking for a motivated continuous improvement professional who thrives on developing people, improving processes, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing, quality systems, ISO standards, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma. They are a strong facilitator and coach who can lead cross-functional teams, conduct audits and training, implement High Performance (HP) systems, and help drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning across multiple operations. Cement industry experience, auditing, training, and consulting experience are highly desirable, along with the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

This position will be located onsite at GCC's Tijeras, NM cement plant (about 15 minutes from Albuquerque). Relocation assistance available.

What You'll Do

• Partner with operations teams to implement and sustain High Performance (HP) systems, including Continuous Improvement, JOBS, 5S, and ISO programs.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, efficiency projects, and problem-solving efforts across GCC operations.
• Coach, train, and mentor teams on project management, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and operational excellence tools.
• Conduct ISO, 5S, and system audits, provide performance feedback, and support compliance and risk assessment activities.
• Facilitate cross-functional projects, onboarding, assessments, and best practice sharing to strengthen team capability and engagement.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, safety performance, and operational effectiveness using industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Promote a culture of safety, continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with ISO management systems and auditing processes.
• Background in quality assurance, quality control, or continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies preferred.
• Training, coaching, teaching, or facilitation experience preferred.
• Consulting or change management experience is a plus.
• Cement manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
