Contract Manager

Commercial team for a hyperscale data center project in Finland

Svartvik Solutions is recruiting on behalf of one of Finland's leading PMC/EPCM firms. Our client is building the commercial team for a large data center project and has multiple roles to fill urgently. The roles include Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Procurement Specialist, and Construction Contract Manager.

1. Cost Manager (RIBA Stage 3 to Handover)

You own the commercial side of the project from design through to handover.

What you will do

• Cost planning and benchmarking
• Cash flow forecasting
• Monthly cost reporting to the client
• Final account settlement

What we are looking for

• Experience in cost management on large construction projects
• Experience across the full project life cycle, from RIBA Stage 3 to handover
• Data center, industrial or other mission critical project experience

2. Quantity Surveyor (RIBA Stage 3 to Stage 5)

You handle measurement and valuations through design and construction.

What you will do

• Quantity take-offs and measurement
• Valuations for interim payment applications
• Close cooperation with the procurement and cost management team

What we are looking for

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large construction projects
• Solid experience in valuations and payment applications
• Data center experience is a strong advantage

3. Procurement Specialist

You run procurement for the project's major work packages.

What you will do

• Procurement strategy and tendering for major work packages
• Supplier and contractor evaluation
• Commercial negotiations together with the QS and cost team

What we are looking for

• Experience in construction procurement
• Experience tendering and negotiating large packages
• Data center, MEP or industrial package experience is a strong advantage

4. Construction Contract Manager (FIDIC)

You protect the client's commercial position throughout delivery.

What you will do

• Contract administration across the main contractor and trade packages
• Change management, notices and claims
• Advising the project team on contractual risks and obligations
• Protecting the client's commercial position through delivery

What we are looking for

• Experience in contract management on large construction projects
• Hands-on FIDIC experience
• Experience with claims and variations on complex projects

For all roles

• Fluent English
• Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g. MRICS is an advantage)
• Experience from FIDIC framework is an advantage
• Willingness to relocate to Finland for the project
