Job Description Key Responsibilities: · Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory standards. · Reinsurance Reporting: Oversee monthly reports and settlements with reinsurance partners. · Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish internal controls and conduct audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. · Accounting Operations: Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger. · Tax Compliance: Ensure timely tax filings and develop strategies to minimize liabilities. · Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and optimize working capital. · Audit Coordination: Manage external audits and serve as the main point of contact for auditors. · Team Leadership: Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment. · Technology Management: Oversee accounting software and ERP systems for optimal efficiency. Requirements Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA required). · Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 5 years in leadership. · Experience in the life insurance and annuities industry is required. · Strong knowledge of US GAAP and reinsurance reporting.
