Join a Crew that Celebrates Wins Together and has Each Other’s Backs “Being part of Better Rehab is more than just a job. It’s a community of people who support you, and the flexible hours allow me to balance work with my personal life.” Jess, Occupational Therapist Joining our Canberra team you’ll experience a warm, close-knit group of 13 (and growing!) allied health professionals who genuinely enjoy working and spending time together. With 5 Occupational Therapists (including grads, experienced clinicians and those on development pathways), 2 Physiotherapists, 2 Speech Pathologists (with another joining soon), an Allied Health Assistant and 3 Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners, our multidisciplinary team thrives on collaboration! We’re big on team culture; think lunchtime Banangrams, café catch-ups, running club, book club, trivia nights and live music outings. Based in Bruce , our bright, modern office has three clinic rooms, on-site parking and easy access to Canberra’s major ring roads. Having grown rapidly, we’re in an exciting phase of development and looking for like-minded clinicians to grow with us. You'll experience a varied/mixed NDIS caseload that includes developmental and acquired disabilities across the lifespan. Day-to-day you will: Conduct meaningful assessments and design impactful therapy plans in diverse environments, from participants' homes to day centres, parks, and even at the beach Build enduring relationships with clients and witness the lasting impact of your work. Innovate and Collaborate: Whether you're dealing with complex cases, exploring new treatment approaches, or facing professional challenges, you'll have a whole multidisciplinary team in your corner. What makes us Better? For starters, we're clinician-led at every level, all the way to the top, so we know what it’s like being in the trenches of care. We’ve built the kind of workplace we always wished existed. Where we don't just say we trust our clinicians – we show it. Our Values We Get Sh*t Done! We are People People Love What You Do Frankly, we Give a Damn We Value Ourselves We Back You We're committed to helping you grow as a clinician or as a leader yourself. Our mentoring pathway isn't just about moving up; it's about developing the full spectrum of skills you need to succeed and take on new opportunities including: Support and Supervision: You'll be surrounded by colleagues who support you through challenges and an experienced and dedicated 1:1 Supervisor to guide you. Professional Development: Access to an extensive internal PD schedule + a generous personal budget. Study Leave: 4 full days paid study leave per calendar year. Resources: The works- laptop, phone + all of our sites have therapy and assessment resources ready to grab and go. Freedom to Work Your Way We've created an environment where you can personalise your work style and schedule. Want to split your time between online, in-clinic and community work? We’re here to prioritise whatever makes you the best clinician you can be with: Better Flex Policy: Flexible hours and the opportunity to flex off when you’ve completed your client work! Clear KPIs: Realistic, achievable and sustainable monthly targets. Better Rewards Program : Earn bonus pay or extra leave, or redeem points for PD, gadgets and experiences! Paid Parental Leave: 8 weeks for the primary carer and 2 for the secondary carer. Travel Reimbursement: Work-related travel paid monthly at $1.17 per KM. National Opportunities across 30 Australian sites. About You We're after OT’s who get restless when they see room for improvement and aren't afraid to speak up about it. Who have a fire in their belly about participant care and treat participant goals like personal missions, not just checkboxes on a form. The ones who have the courage to challenge ideas (yes, even ours) when participant’s interests are at stake. If this sounds like you, we might just be right for each other. General AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist – limited may be considered on a case by case basis A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle An NDIS check, Working with Children Check, and Police Check (or willing to obtain) The role is open to OT with all levels of experience, including Senior OTs who want to develop their leadership skills Onshore applicants seeking sponsorship will be considered. Join Us and hit Apply Now Reach out to Leanne 0483 945 751 or email [email protected] with any questions you may have. Commitment to Diversity: At Better Rehab, we embrace diversity, inclusivity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, identities, and abilities including neurodiverse individuals. If you think you’d be great in this role but don’t meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply, we’d love to hear from you. Learn more at www.betterrehab.com.au
