About Mercor

Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We're a leading AI data company, building the layer between human expertise and frontier models. Millions of domain experts on the platform are paid over $4 million per day to train frontier AI models. Mercor's APEX benchmark family measures AI's real-world impact on professional work. Mercor Enterprise brings this same infrastructure to Fortune 500 companies: helping companies capture how their best people actually work, translating that expertise directly back into agents.

Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.

About the Role

We are looking for a Corporate Finance Senior / Associate to join Mercor's Finance team and help lead the company's core corporate finance activities at our headquarters in San Fransisco.

You will sit at the intersection of nearly every part of Mercor, from our rapidly growing core business to new bets, M&A, capital markets, and other strategic initiatives. You will work closely with leaders across the business, our Business Operations partners, the Data and Automation team, and the broader Finance organization to understand how the company operates and translate those operating drivers into financial outcomes.

You will own and continuously develop Mercor's central corporate financial model and support a broad range of strategic finance priorities, including forecasting, capital allocation, financing and capital markets, M&A, and fundraising. You will also help shape how we communicate Mercor's financial performance and trajectory to investors, lenders, and other external stakeholders.

This is a highly analytical, cross-functional, and autonomous role with significant exposure to Mercor's leadership team. We are looking for someone who can take an ambiguous problem, independently determine how to approach it, and drive a workstream from analysis through execution. Your work will directly influence how Mercor plans, invests, allocates capital, and executes on its next stage of growth.

What You'll Do

  • Own and continuously develop Mercor's central corporate financial model, including forecasts and upside and downside scenarios, and independently identify opportunities to improve how we model the business.

  • Drive company-wide forecasting and budgeting in partnership with Finance, Business Operations, the Data and Automation team, and business leaders.

  • Partner with teams across the business to understand key operating drivers and unit economics, translate them into financial outcomes, and use those insights to improve decision-making and accelerate growth.

  • Support capital markets and financing initiatives, including managing external relationships, fundraising, and executing financing transactions.

  • Support M&A and other strategic transactions from initial evaluation through diligence and execution, including independently driving analyses, diligence workstreams, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Evaluate investments and capital allocation decisions, turning complex financial and operating information into clear recommendations for executive leadership.

  • Take ownership of ambiguous, cross-functional projects, develop the workplan and analytical framework, and drive execution with autonomy.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–6 years of finance experience. Investment banking experience is strongly preferred, particularly in combination with private equity, investing, strategic finance, or operating experience at a high-growth startup.

  • Exceptional financial modeling capabilities. You enjoy the technical work and can independently build detailed, structurally sound models from the ground up, while exercising good judgment about when a quick analysis is enough.

  • High agency, resourcefulness, and intellectual curiosity. You are a self-starter who can take a loosely defined objective, determine what needs to happen, and drive it forward without waiting for a playbook.

  • Strong strategic judgment. You can step back from the details, understand the underlying business question, and focus your analysis on the decisions and outputs that matter most.

  • Strong understanding of financing structures, capital allocation, and how financial decisions affect the broader business.

  • Exceptional project management, cross-functional, and communication skills. You can manage complex workstreams, coordinate across a large number of stakeholders, navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities, build strong external relationships, present directly to executive leadership, and drive projects from idea through execution.

Benefits

  • $15,000 relocation bonus

  • $10,000 housing bonus

  • $1,500 per month meal stipend

  • Free Equinox membership

  • Monthly laundry reimbursement

  • Monthly personal wellness reimbursement

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match
