Cost Accounting Manager

Reporting to the CFO, this role will be the cost accounting SME (subject matter expert) for the Company. The role is responsible for project accounting activities and working with project management and project accountants to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project results.

Responsibilities

• Assure that POC accounting is being executed in accordance with US GAAP
• Manage and Maintain project backlog and sub ledgers and monitor variances on jobs.
• Works with project managers and accounting to ensure costs are posting to the jobs correctly.
• Monthly close processing including review and approve journal entries, accruals, and analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting package for review by Senior Management and Project Managers.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations review.
• Prepare and distribute monthly project performance cost reports to management.
• Monthly prepare job close out analysis for project managers.
• Run, Analyze and Validate profit recognition for percentage of completion jobs.
• Supports in monthly and year-end closing including year-end audits.
• Develops a close working relationship with Project Managers to support performance metrics, and Corporate Accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or business related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands of Cost/ Project accounting experience.
