Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Counsellor role based in our Expert Education and Visa Services Mt Gravatt office, Queensland. The Counsellor will provide guidance to prospective students on suitable courses, institutions, and study destinations, ensuring advice is accurate, ethical, and tailored to individual goals.
Daily tasks include conducting consultations, assessing student profiles, explaining admission and visa processes, and supporting applicants with documentation and application forms. The role involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of international education systems, compliance requirements, and institutional partnerships, while coordinating closely with internal teams and global offices. The Counsellor will also participate in events, follow up with leads, and maintain detailed records to support transparent and efficient student journeys.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in student counseling, academic advising, or education consulting, with the ability to assess student profiles and recommend appropriate study pathways.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with diverse students and families.
• Solid organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail in managing documentation, applications, and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, and visa regulations for Australia.
• Proficiency in using office productivity tools and CRM or student management systems to manage appointments, records, and follow-ups.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, target-driven setting.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in education, counseling, business, or a related field; prior experience in the education or migration sector is highly regarded.
• Additional language skills and familiarity with local and international student communities are considered beneficial.
