Court Proceedings Expert | 10913 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £50,166 to £54,277 per annum | Grade L | Kings Lynn and Dereham Make a real difference for children and families by leading excellence in court practice. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate professional to join Norfolk County Council as a Court Proceedings Expert, supporting operational teams across Family Help, Children with Disabilities and Corporate Parenting. Working within our Court Work and Pre-Proceedings Service , you will play a key role in driving high-quality court practice, strengthening decision-making and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people. Our service works alongside operational teams to provide specialist support with court proceedings and pre-proceedings work. It includes our Community Assessment and Family Time Team and our Pre-birth and Recurrent Care Team , which supports parents through the Public Law Outline process and helps reduce repeat care proceedings. About the role As a Court Proceedings Expert, you will be the lead specialist for court work within your operational area, championing best practice and supporting teams to deliver high-quality, timely interventions for children and families. You will work closely with practitioners, team managers and senior leaders to: Improve the quality and consistency of court work practice. Strengthen management oversight and grip of court proceedings. Support practitioners to build confidence and expertise in court work. Improve the quality and timeliness of evidence presented to court. Reduce drift and delay for children and young people. Drive improvements in line with local and national priorities. This is a highly influential role, offering the opportunity to shape practice, develop others and make a lasting impact on outcomes for children. You will be confident in building positive professional relationships, providing expert advice and challenge, and leading improvements that deliver better experiences and outcomes for children and families.
