Creative Director – Contemporary Brand - Oslo

Mode Executive is supporting the search for a Creative Director on behalf of a premium international contemporary brand. This is a unique opportunity to lead and elevate the entire brand universe, shaping its creative vision across all customer-facing touchpoints. The role is focused on brand building, cultural relevance, storytelling and creative leadership rather than product design alone. The successful candidate will bring a strong creative point of view, a proven track record of building brand desirability, and the ability to create a cohesive and compelling brand experience across physical and digital environments.

Based in Oslo, Norway, this position offers flexibility around relocation and ways of working for the right candidate. The Creative Director will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the founder during a defined leadership transition, as well as in partnership with the broader executive team, including product leadership.

The Role

• Define and evolve the brand vision, positioning, visual identity and creative codes.
• Lead creative direction across campaigns, content, storytelling and brand communications.
• Shape retail concepts and customer experiences across existing and future store environments.
• Develop and oversee collaborations, partnerships and culturally relevant brand initiatives.
• Drive the creative expression of the brand across e-commerce and digital platforms.
• Provide creative leadership for product direction, setting the overarching creative framework while collaborating closely with product teams responsible for execution and development.
• Build a consistent and compelling brand universe across all customer touchpoints.
• Strengthen brand desirability through innovative storytelling, strategic partnerships and culturally relevant initiatives.
• Champion creative excellence while ensuring alignment between brand, commercial objectives and customer experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Creative Director with responsibility extending beyond product design.
• Demonstrated success building, evolving or revitalising premium or luxury brands.
• Strong creative authority with a recognised point of view and the ability to influence both industry and consumer audiences.
• Experience leading brand identity, campaigns, retail experiences, storytelling and digital platforms.
• A strong network across creative, cultural, artistic and design communities.
• Track record of developing meaningful collaborations and partnerships that enhance brand relevance and visibility.
• Founder or entrepreneurial mindset with a holistic approach to brand building.
• Deep appreciation for craftsmanship, materiality and design integrity.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams and cross-functional organisations.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of brand building as a driver of business growth.
• International outlook with the ability to operate across global markets while embracing the realities of a headquarters-based leadership role.
• Familiarity with jewellery, luxury goods, heritage brands, design-led businesses or adjacent premium categories is advantageous.
